Paragraph

Paragraph 

A good paragraph generally consists of:

1. one topic sentence
2. at least, five supporting sentences
3. a concluding sentence.  

Topic sentence includes topic and controlling idea. Topic is what a paragraph talks about and controlling idea is the property of the topic.      

Example:

The man is my classmate. The man is the topic, and is my classmate is controlling idea. So, supporting sentences explain, describe, or illustrate the personal identity of, the characters of, or and the academic achievement of the man.
